June 8th is #WorldOceanDay, the day dedicated to spreading awareness of the impact of human actions on the ocean, uniting people everywhere to group together, to make a positive impact on the world’s oceans.

Here at The Fine Bedding Company, we pride ourselves on being environmentally conscious, taking all the steps possible to bring you the most sustainable, ocean friendly bedding, so you can sleep soundly knowing that these products limit environmental damage, whilst being super comfortable.

Ethical Sourcing & Sustainability

All the duvets and pillows we produce are created in our 100% renewable energy powered factory in Estonia, specially chosen to reduce shipping distances and carbon emissions. Only sustainable materials are used, ensuring that the production process creates zero waste, whilst also reducing carbon footprint.

We used advanced Smartfil® fibres in our products to create an equivalent tog and thermal efficacy of a premium down duvet. These Smartfil® fibres use 25% less material than other bedding to achieve thermal efficacy, making it 25% lighter with a significant reduction of material required. This smart material reduces carbon footprint by a staggering 44% in comparison to a normal duvet.

We’re on a mission to make all our bedding packaging from 100% recyclable materials and 100% recyclable, and is also often reusable as we firmly believe in minimising material waste when producing, packaging and shipping our products. If there are any leftover fibres after the manufacturing process they are passed onto other factories to reduce wastage, the excess fibres are repurposed and used to fill teddy bears, making the perfect stuffed animals for children to enjoy!
