Kerry Davies, Sleep Fixer for The Fine Bedding Company says new innovative pillow is a game changer

I’ve put The Fine Bedding Company’s new HoneyFoam Pillow to the test, really paying attention to my sleep posture - something I get asked about all the time as a sleep coach. As someone who’s just come out of spinal surgery on my neck, I’m realising more than ever how important keeping your spine in the right position is, not just for comfort but for helping your body heal properly and feel well over time.

What I love most about this pillow is its adjustability. Most pillows don’t give you much say and their height and firmness can't be changed, which means if it doesn’t match your spine's natural shape, you’ll either compress your neck or overstretch it (which is not fun!). Both can lead to stiffness, headaches and waking up through the night - which is such a pain and totally avoidable! But the HoneyFoam Pillow is filled with these tiny hexagon-shaped clusters that you can add or remove to create the perfect height for your body’s needs.

This is a big deal! I always say that pillow height is one of the biggest causes of bad sleep posture. Too high and your head tilts forward, too low and your neck drops back. Either way, your spine ends up a bit out of whack. Being able to change the height yourself means you can get that lovely neutral position where your head, neck and spine all sit in one natural line. That’s what helps your body finally relax and release pressure points overnight - basically what you need if you want to actually sleep through the night.

I didn’t actually have to remove any clusters in mine, but what surprised me straight away was how the pillow moves with you when you sleep. Because it’s not one block of foam like some pillows, the clusters shuffle and reshape as you turn, which keeps your head nicely supported without forcing it into one position. Much like myself, most people move positions many times each night, and a pillow that works with you really helps keep that healthy posture, no matter if you’re sleeping on your back, side or even front.

This is something I see all the time. People have a pillow that feels fine when they first lie down, but the moment they move, their neck just isn’t supported anymore. With this pillow, the shape and feel stay the same because the clusters move around in a nice natural way.

Since using it, I’ve noticed a real difference in how relaxed my neck feels when I wake up in the morning. With recovering from surgery, I’m so incredibly conscious of anything that could cause aches or pains, and this pillow has given me support without that stiff “held in place” feeling that some memory foam pillows give you. It’s supportive but not restrictive, which I think is exactly what we should all be looking for in a pillow.

I also love that the pillow has this luxury quilted cover, because a comfy layer on the outside helps reduce pressure across my shoulders and jaw, giving my muscles the best chance to fully relax. Overall, from a sleep-health perspective, this is a genuinely must-have pillow! The fact you can personalise the height and firmness, the way it changes as you move, the breathable clusters, and the long-lasting lifespan all make it an excellent option for anyone who wants comfort and support that suits your body every single night.

A brilliant pillow, and for me, a real game-changer.
