Here at The Fine Bedding Company we are delighted to have been able to support Oldham Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Oldham Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides specialist intensive care for critically ill premature babies or babies who need extra special care after birth. The unit also provides high dependency and special care for babies who require longer intensive care programmes. There are four highly demanded and rarely unoccupied parents rooms.
We have donated of a selection of luxury bedding sets to Oldham Hospital to help improve stay-over conditions for new parents with babies in their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It is our hope that the bedding will help new parents get the best night’s sleep possible when staying in one of the four parents rooms on the unit.
Neonatal Educator, Joanne O’Donnell, spokesperson for NICU charity fundraising said: “The parent’s rooms are an extremely valuable resource for the unit, because they enable parents to be close to their baby at their most vulnerable time. We try to make the rooms as homely as possible and with the help of generous donations we hopefully can provide just the environment.
“The Fine Bedding Company’s donation has enabled each of the four rooms to have a complete set of washable bedding, which is vital because the rooms are so much in demand that they are rarely, if ever, not occupied.”
