Ground Breaking Anti-Allergy Technology For Bedding

Posted on 22 / 07 / 2016 by Sleep Lover

For many of the 21 million allergy sufferers across the UK anti-allergy bedding can make a massive difference in the quality of sleep.

To support the millions affected we have launched brand new Anti-Allergy Duvets and Anti-Allergy Pillows we are made using a ground-breaking, unique defensive technology that kills and repels allergens.

The anti-allergy range features our unique approach known as ‘Allergy Shield’ this is a combination of specific materials and treatments for maximum effectiveness against allergies at bedtime.

What actually is ‘Allergy Shield’?

A combined anti-microbial treatment is applied to the pillow during production to create a durable barrier that has been scientifically proven to eliminate mould, bacteria and dust mites – some of the leading causes of allergic reactions. The technology also reduces microbial growth and provides a barricade against re-infestation.

But it doesn’t stop there. Microfibres are mixed with specialist premium anti-fungal fibres which stop allergen build-up inside the duvet. These delicate yet robust fibres can also be washed at 60 degrees (the temperature that kills dust mites) without losing their effectiveness or compromising on the quality, bounce back and softness of the product.

The Anti-Allergy duvet provides warmth without weight and features a soft touch Peachskin cover with over-locked edges for added durability. Prices start from £65, available to buy online from

Anti-Allergy medium support pillows with Peachskin cover and unique Allergy Shield barrier cost  £30 and again can be bought online from

Why use Anti-Allergy bedding?

It’s a little known fact that up to 85% of people with asthma in the UK are affected by the little bed-fellows that share our environment at night. Dust mites are one of the most common causes of allergic reactions such as asthma, eczema and allergic rhinitis and because they feed off our dead skin cells (yuk!) and they just love beds.

Warmth in bed coupled with moisture from our bodies also makes an ideal environment for bacteria and mould growth – another chronic cause of allergies.

Where washing duvets and pillowcases at high temperatures will slow the spread of these allergy inducing microscopic invaders, this can’t fully stop microbes, mould growth and dust mites building up over time.

Anti-allergy bedding is an added layer of protection with long-lasting repellent that ensures a healthier, hygienic and fresher sleep environment
