The Fine Bedding Company has teamed up with N:rem Sleep System and Halo Furnishings to donate much needed new bedding products to Ronald McDonald House Alder Hey, Liverpool.
Ronald McDonald House at Alder Hey Hospital provides free accommodation to parents and families so that they can stay near their children who are in the hospital.
Alder Hey is the largest Ronald McDonald House in Europe and can accommodate up to 84 families a night. There are 69 family bedrooms as well as 15 family apartments for those parents who need to stay for prolonged periods.
The facility and the teams working there provide vital support to the families of sick children, enabling Mum and Dad to put their child to bed and be there when they wake up in the morning.
The Fine Bedding Company has this week donated 80 new pillows to the centre, lovingly called ‘The House that Love Built’, and will also be supplying new duvets in the coming weeks.
Sara Wadsworth from The Fine Bedding Company said: “We are so pleased to be able to support the incredible Mac House at Alder Hey by providing pillows and duvets. We hope this goes some way to providing comfort to families who are going through such a difficult time.”
Specialist mattress retailer N:rem and luxury furniture designers Halo also made donations to the centre, supplying 34 new mattresses.
House manager Wendy was thrilled to receive the donations. She said:
“The mattresses and pillows here are up to 24 years old, but we can only afford to replace them when it’s absolutely necessary. This donation is going to help families get the rest they need at the most stressful time of their lives.”
